Special video prize
At the moment Wikipedia articles don’t contain a lot of video’s (less than 0,1% of all files on Wikimedia Commons are video files). Open Images is an open media platform that offers online access to audiovisual archive material to stimulate creative reuse. The platform contains a lot of Dutch newsreel clips. These clips are mirrored to Wikimedia Commons so that they can be used in Wikipedia articles.
Open Images wants to promote open video so they will be handing out a special prize for the best video uploaded as part of Wiki Loves Monuments. The rules are similar to the main contest:
- Self made and self uploaded
- Uploaded in September 2011
- Freely licensed
- Feature one or more monuments
